They have three locations throughout Houston, where they always serve up great cups of the good stuff. They also have a great selection of food if you’re looking for a coffee shop that puts as much thought into their cuisine as they do their brews.
Get your classic creations, one of the house lattes, or one of Boomtown’s custom concoctions. If you’re splitting with a friend, order one of their French presses or pour-overs. Whatever your style might be, Boomtown has you covered.
Paper Co. Cafe
Paper Co. Cafe should be the example that other coffee shops model themselves after. Their focus on good coffee is paralleled only by their focus on the community. Each day, they offer a meal on a sliding scale — you pay what you can so you can enjoy their food. All profits go to providing for Houston’s homeless community.
Their well-made coffee drinks pair great with their food items. You’ll find plenty of breakfast choices, such as ancient grain oatmeal and breakfast tacos. For lunch, you can order their turkey melt, H-Town burger, chicken sandwich, or veggie burger. If you’re looking for a place to fuel you for the day, Paper Co. Cafe is a great option.
Morningstar
Morningstar is a local favorite. In addition to great coffee, they also serve breakfast, lunch, and donuts that will keep you coming back for more. This is one of our favorite shops to visit when we’re trying to start the day off right.
Their quaint, cozy atmosphere is just one more reason to visit. Everything that comes out of this coffee shop is top-notch, from their chocolate lover’s donuts to their drip coffee. Bring a dozen of their delicious donuts to work, or slip away to enjoy everything this great coffee shop has to offer.
Throughgood Coffee
Modern vibes, tasty food, and great coffee — Throughgood Coffee is one of our favorite shops in Houston. Their friendly staff is skilled in making the best coffee and espresso drinks, and their menu is full of great items such as tacos, biscuits, donuts, and more. The food they serve is sourced from popular vendors and food trucks around town. They also do their part in helping Houston’s homeless population, so you can feel good about being a patron at this coffee shop.
