Houston is a regular stop for many trade shows and exhibitions. No matter what makes your heart beat, there’s a trade show or an exhibition that’s sure to be right up your alley. Here are the five that we’re most excited about coming through the area this year.
Texas Black Expo
Otherwise known as Summer Celebration, the Texas Black Expo is the largest African American festival and consumer trade show in the Southern part of the United States. Over 200 vendors come to the festival, which attracts upward of 20,000 attendees from Texas and across the country. The expo stretches across four days and includes celebrity guests, musical performances, influential speakers, health/wellness exhibits, business development seminars, hair shows, and women’s forums.
Houston Boat Show
The Houston Boat Show covers everything related to the boating and marine sector. Whether you’re interested in yachts or kayaks or sailboats, there are products and vendors at the Houston Boat Show that will meet your interests. Nonprofit organizations are frequent visitors, raising awareness about related social issues. Other vendors cover things like camping, planning for events, sailing, fishing, trade show management, seminars, fly fishing, deep sea fishing, and diving. Admission costs only $12 and kids get in for $5.
Hunters Extravaganza Houston
This expo is all about hunting, which is one of the most popular pass times in Texas. Hunters Extravaganza Houston is three-day event covers many types of hunting exhibits, providing information on bow hunting, deer hunting equipment, rifles, knives, archery accessories, camping gear, and hunting clothing. Learn different techniques and get tips from hunting experts or learn more about how hunting and conservation go hand in hand: the possibilities are endless! There is a military discount available for veterans and current servicemen and women.
Spring Home and Garden Show
The Spring Home and Garden Show is one of the most popular home shows that come through Houston. It regularly hosts between 100 and 150 vendors and sees approximately 20,000 visitors. Exhibits at the show range from technology to décor. Vendor presentations include home items like gardening tools, air filtration systems, interior services, water conditioning, home goods demonstrations, cooking demonstrations, and custom home designers’ presentation. There are a multitude of professionals and experts who put on seminars and demonstrations across the three-day event. Also, there are regular convention-only deals and incentives that make it a must-visit for homeowners looking to renovate or build!
Whiskeys of the World Expo Houston
As one of the biggest whiskey tasting events in the United States, Whiskeys of the World Expo Houston is an incredible event that is a favorite among whiskey connoisseurs and causal drinks alike. There are over 200 whiskeys represented from across the globe and visitors are welcome to sample them all. Plus, they offer whiskey and food pairings and whiskey and cigar pairings for interested patrons. Seminars are held on site and are conducted by some of the foremost experts in this field. Hotel rooms are available for visitors at a discount and tickets begin at $120.
